Tribe Impact Capital Deepens Wealth Management Team with 3 New Hires
UK-based impact wealth manager Tribe Impact Capital announced today that it has hired Katharine Samuels, Aaron Gaide and Cate Quentin, adding to its wealth management team. The firm stated that the new hires will support the team’s work with high net worth individuals, family offices, corporate clients and charitable institutions to implement investment strategies to achieve both sustainable impact and a financial return in line with the UN’S Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
Katharine Samuels joins Tribe after serving as Vice President at Barclays Wealth Management, where she specialised in looking after UK resident non-domicile clients, finance professionals and entrepreneurs. Prior to joining Barclays, she spent 5 years at UBS Wealth Management, where she was the youngest person ever hired in the firm’s ‘Associate Client Advisor’ programme. In her new role at Tribe, she will focus on high net worth individuals, complex families, corporates and trusts.
Samuels said:
“I am thrilled to be part of such an exciting business that is at the forefront of impact investing in the UK. As part of the Wealth Management team, I am naturally interested in the growth of the firm, and I am also looking forward to having the ability to be commercial and build new segments within Tribe, thus helping mould and shape it over time.”
Aaron Gaide joins Tribe from his role as Managing Director at ETF provider Pacer Financial. Before joinig Pacer, he worked for Putnam Investments for 7 years, leading sales teams that partnered with advisors across investment management, wealth management and business growth strategy. In his new role, he will be responsible for connecting private clients and institutional investors with Tribe’s impact investing capabilities.
Gaide said:
“Tribe is the vanguard for what all investing will be in 10 years. Impact investing is just good investing – and our society is both mature enough to ask more from capitalism, and weathered enough to realise that the time is now to be more inclusive, more caring, and more socially and environmentally comprehensive when it comes to measuring economic success. Tribe is pushing the agenda, wielding capitalism as a tool for social and ecological optimisation, and I can’t wait to get the UK investment community more involved. Tribe enables me to spend my days working hard to exponentially change today’s social fabric while simultaneously tackling the earth’s greatest challenge – climate change.”
Cate Quentin spent seven years as a Wealth Manager at Standard Bank Group, specialising in high net worth individuals from, or operating in, West Africa, and helped launch the Bank’s wealth management business in Ghana.
Quentin, said:
“With a background in international development and wealth management, Tribe was really the only place to combine my experience and interests. I am so excited to work with like-minded people who are all striving to make the world a better place. I am interested in helping clients to grow their wealth, whilst also having a positive impact on the world. Tribe is proof that this is truly possible.”
